Fire Alarm Installation
New fire alarm system design and installation for commercial facilities, including addressable panel systems, smoke and heat detectors, pull stations, horns and strobes, and notification appliances. All installations meet NFPA 72 and local AHJ requirements.
- Addressable and conventional panel systems
- Smoke, heat, and CO detection
- Notification appliances (horns, strobes, speakers)
- Pull stations and manual initiating devices
- AHJ permit coordination and final inspection
Inspection and Testing
Annual and semi-annual fire alarm inspections performed by NICET-certified technicians per NFPA 72 requirements. We test initiating devices, notification appliances, control panels, and monitoring connections, then deliver a written inspection report for your records and AHJ filing.
- NFPA 72-compliant inspection and testing
- NICET Level I and II certified technicians
- Written inspection report for AHJ and insurance
- Deficiency identification and repair quoting
- Annual inspection scheduling and reminders
Integrated Life Safety Systems
For facilities that need fire alarm, security, and AV managed under one roof, ESI handles all three. Integrated life safety systems can connect fire alarm panels to access control door releases, elevator recall, and HVAC shutdown, ensuring your building responds correctly when a fire event occurs.
- Fire alarm integrated with access control
- Automatic door release on alarm
- Elevator recall and HVAC shutdown integration
- Mass notification and emergency communication
- Single integrator for fire, security, and AV
NICET-Certified Fire Alarm Technicians
NICET (the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) is the nationally recognized certification standard for fire alarm systems. NICET certification requires demonstrated field experience, passing a proctored technical exam, and ongoing recertification. It is the credential that building owners, insurers, and AHJs rely on to verify that the technician inspecting or installing a fire alarm system is qualified to do so.
ESI’s fire alarm technicians hold NICET Level I and Level II certifications in Fire Alarm Systems. When ESI performs your annual inspection or installs a new system, the technician on site has the credentials your insurer and AHJ expect, with the experience to catch problems that an uncertified technician might miss.
- NICET Level I and Level II certified technicians
- NFPA 72 inspection and testing compliance
- AHJ permit coordination for new installations
- Written inspection reports for insurance and code compliance
One Integrator for Fire, Security, and AV
Managing separate vendors for fire alarm, security systems, and AV means three service contracts, three points of contact, and three separate companies to coordinate when systems need to work together. For facilities that want to consolidate, ESI handles all three under one roof.
This matters most when systems need to integrate: a fire alarm event that should release magnetic door locks, recall elevators, or trigger a mass notification system requires a single integrator who designed and installed all of the connected systems. ESI can design and support that integration from the ground up.
- Security systems: cameras, access control, intrusion
- AV systems: displays, intercoms, mass notification
- Fire alarm: installation, inspection, monitoring
- Single contract, single point of contact, single service call
Who ESI Serves for Fire Alarm
ESI installs and inspects fire alarm systems across a range of commercial and institutional facility types. The industries where we most commonly handle fire alarm work alongside security and AV:
- Healthcare facilities: hospitals, clinics, medical office buildings where fire alarm integration with access control and egress is a code requirement
- Government and municipal buildings: city halls, courthouses, public safety facilities where CJIS compliance and fire code intersect
- Schools and universities: K–12 campuses and higher education facilities requiring integrated fire alarm and lockdown systems
- Retail and commercial: multi-tenant buildings and retail facilities requiring fire alarm inspection and annual compliance documentation
- Hospitality: hotels and hospitality properties where fire alarm, AV, and security are often managed under a single service contract
- Corporate facilities: office buildings and corporate campuses consolidating fire and security under a single integrator
