40 Years. Two Offices. One Mission.
ESI Technologies has been protecting Colorado businesses since 1984. We’re not a national chain with a local office. We’re a Colorado company built from the ground up in this market, with the certifications and experience to back it up.
40+
Years in Business
ESI has been protecting Colorado businesses since 1984, through recessions, technology shifts, and ownership transitions. We’re still here because our clients stay with us.
2
Colorado Offices
Fort Collins serves Northern Colorado. Colorado Springs serves Southern Colorado. Two dispatch centers means faster response across the Front Range, not a long drive from Denver.
CJIS
Certified for Government Environments
ESI holds CJIS certification, required for vendors working in or around law enforcement facilities, courthouses, jails, and government installations. Most security integrators don’t hold this credential.
24/7
Monitoring Available
ESI connects your system to a UL-listed central station for around-the-clock monitoring. When an alarm fires at 3am, our monitoring team responds, not a voicemail.
What Makes ESI Different
A lot of security integrators say the same things. Here’s what actually separates ESI from the alternatives.
We’re a Colorado company, not a national chain with a Colorado number.
National security companies staff local offices with technicians who rotate in and out. Your account manager changes, institutional knowledge of your system walks out the door, and service calls take longer because the dispatch center is in another state. ESI is headquartered in Colorado. Our offices in Fort Collins and Colorado Springs are staffed with local technicians who have been here for years, some for decades. When you call ESI, you reach people who know the Front Range and know your facility.
Our team includes a state-licensed Master Electrician.
ESI’s General Manager holds a Master Electrician license issued by Colorado DORA, one of the more demanding state credentials in the trades. Most security integrators are staffed entirely by low-voltage technicians with no formal electrical licensure. Having a Master Electrician in-house means ESI can handle electrical work that other integrators have to subcontract, and it reflects a higher bar for technical competency across the team.
CJIS certification for security-sensitive work.
ESI holds Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification, a requirement for vendors who work in or around law enforcement facilities, jails, courthouses, and certain government installations. CJIS certification requires background screening for all employees and adherence to strict security policies. Most security integrators don’t hold this certification. For clients in regulated environments, this matters.
NICET-certified technicians for fire alarm installation and inspection.
NICET (the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) is the recognized certification standard for fire alarm systems. ESI’s fire alarm technicians hold NICET Level I and Level II certifications. When ESI installs a new fire alarm system or performs your annual NFPA 72 inspection, the technician on site is certified to do it. For clients who want fire alarm, security, and AV handled by a single integrator, this is the credential that validates ESI can deliver on all three.
We stock the products we install and stand behind them.
ESI is an authorized dealer and installer for Axis, Avigilon, Genetec, Hanwha, I-Pro, Gallagher, Salto, AMAG, Napco, LifeSafety, and Gamewell. These aren’t gray-market products ordered from a distributor the day before the job. We’re trained and certified by each manufacturer on the products we install, which means we can support, troubleshoot, and warranty the equipment we put on your walls. If something fails under warranty, we handle it. You don’t have to navigate a manufacturer’s warranty process alone.
We design systems we can maintain for the long term.
Some integrators design systems that are difficult to maintain, expand, or modify, which conveniently keeps you dependent on them for even minor changes. ESI designs systems we’d be proud to hand over complete documentation for, because we expect to be your long-term partner, not your only option. Our installations come with as-built drawings, equipment schedules, and complete system documentation. And we offer maintenance agreements and Managed Sites because we want your system to keep working, not to profit from emergency repairs.
